Pam McNally Shaw is a board member of The Still Remembered Project and the Project Lead for Still Supported. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Slippery Rock University in Community Programs for American’s with Disabilities with a minor in Early Childhood. While studying at Slippery Rock University, Pam served as the Treasurer of The Early Childhood committee and was in charge of the group’s funding and fundraising projects within the community. Pam has also worked at March of Dimes as a Family Team Specialist, where she worked closely with families within the community by planning fundraising events and helping them raise money and walk for their babies. Pam currently works for Familylinks as a Support Coordinator and is a Program Specialist at Northern Human Services. She has over 10 years’ experience working within the community by volunteering and planning events for children and their families.
Pam’s grief journey began on October 13, 2010. Her daughter Addie was stillborn at 40 weeks due to a blood clotting disorder, Lupus Anticoagulant Syndrome. Pam became a devoted member of Mothers of Angels, and she regularly attended monthly support group meetings, reached out to help other moms with their grief, and volunteered her time to make crafts and memory boxes. Addie has encouraged her to be strong and to be involved in pregnancy loss awareness, and Pam unhesitatingly stepped up to help form The Still Remembered Project. She has recently became a Stillbirthday Birth & Bereavement Trained Doula ®. She is honored to be able to help new mothers and families on their journey of grief.
