Still Missed Volunteer

Holly is the caring person behind the emails sent from Still Missed, responding with simple compassion for these ladies in their grief. She is a wonderful volunteer that has been helping bereaved moms for many years.

“As someone who supports Pro-Life laws, I wanted to find a way to volunteer for a ministry that honors unborn children and their parents who protect them. I spoke with a friend who is a Labor and Delivery nurse at West Penn Hospital and she told me about The Still Remembered Project. I found that I could help the organization from my home: I send beautiful care packages to parents who have lost a baby to miscarriage. This has meant a lot to me because in a culture, and state, where unborn babies are vulnerable to abortion up to 24 weeks gestation, I am so thankful that we still have parents who consider their unborn babies worthy of grieving and remembering when their lives end in miscarriage. This truth, that parents do indeed grieve deeply when a baby is lost even at the very beginning of their development, is a powerful antidote to the lies that an unborn baby can be discarded at will and no one suffers. As I send these care packages to parents, I hope that honoring their loss will encourage them to share with their friends that all babies matter, no matter how brief their lives.”

Holly’s care for the unborn, even when a miscarriage happens, encourages us to remember that these lives matter.
